This past weekend, I was lucky enough to participate in the Richmond National Eating Disorders Association (NEDA) walk. Local walks are held all over the country to support NEDA's national efforts in providing support, education, and resources to those affected by eating disorders.
Their mission: to "support individuals and families affected by eating disorders, and serve as a catalyst for prevention, cures and access to quality care." (https://www.nationaleatingdisorders.org/)
Participating in the walk alongside individuals in recovery, friends, family, and loved ones of those struggling with eating disorders, and other local clinicians was an awesome experience. The Richmond walk raised over $13,000 in the fight against eating disorders!
The walk was a reminder of how grateful I am to be in this field and how grateful I am as a dietitian to be able to support clients in their journeys to recovery. So from all of us at Mood Balance Nutrition, THANK YOU.
Thank you so much for allowing us to be a part of your support team.
Thank you for doing the hard things we ask of you in treatment in order to achieve greatness.
Thank you for letting us laugh, cry, and celebrate with you!
Thank you for inviting us along on your journey and showing us over and over that recovery is possible.
To all of our clients, past, present, and future... THANK YOU!
Liz, Ashley, & Melissa
